Outstanding! Absolutely outstanding. I literally applaud you. The outpouring of support for the OBU, financial and otherwise, has been so profoundly significant, that I am truly humbled to be one of those currently serving on the OBU Executive. At the close of biz yesterday, we were closing on the half century for luncheon attendees, far exceeding the normal attendance in recent years, OBU centenary luncheon notwithstanding.
Donations from Old Boys, poignantly including many who can’t attend this year’s function, have ensured that OBU luncheons are funded for years to come. The letters and emails expressing gratitude for keeping the OBU going, gave life to the words conveyed in the Blue & Blue of August 2011: “As far as many, if not all, who attended the lunch of July 11th, 2011 are concerned, Darlo Old Boys will continue until the last man standing.”

We will be having a Bar-Open after the luncheon at 2pm. So, for those who could not make the luncheon but who wish to call by for a reunion coldie or two, or are one of the “lost sheep” thinking about coming to a reunion, this is a GREAT chance to just duck in for a quick “Hi”. Please be aware that, unless you’re bringing a “Late Note” from your mother, there will be a $5.00 donation required.
